Single Deck Blackjack Game Overview
Single Deck Blackjack offers all the standard blackjack features but is played with just one deck of 52 cards.
The aim of the game is to get a hand that is closer in value to 21 than the dealer, without going over 21!
How to Play
Draw cards until your hand value gets as close to 21 without going over.
You win blackjack if your first two cards are an Ace plus a 10 or picture card.
Going over 21 will cause your hand to go bust and lose.
Bust hands lose regardless of the dealer's hand.
The dealer has to draw if their initial hand equals 16.
If the dealer's initial hand equals 17 or more, then they must stand.
A 'push' occurs when your hand equals the same as the dealer's - your bet will be returned when this happens.

Chip Sizes
The chip sizes in Single Deck Blackjack are as follows:
- £1
- £5
- £25
- £100
- £500
Placing Bets
To begin playing Single Deck Blackjack, select your chips and click on a bet box shown on-screen.
To remove your last chip, press the 'Undo' button.
Pressing the 'Clear Bets' button will take all of your chips off the table.
To receive your initial hand, press 'Deal'.
Your initial hand will be two cards dealt face-up.
The dealer's first two cards will be face down.
Hit
To receive one more card to your initial hand, press 'Hit'.
Stand
If you are satisfied with the value of your current hand, you can choose to click 'Stand' which will not add any more cards to your hand.
Splitting
You can choose to split your hand if it is formed of two matching cards.
Splitting a hand will create two individual hands with separate bets.
The bet placed on the second hand will be equal to the bet placed on your initial hand.
Note: only matching cards can be split - i.e. two Queens or two Jacks.
Blackjack cannot be achieved from a split pair of Aces.
Double Down
Choosing to Double Down will add one more card to your initial hand and double your original bet.
This option is only available if your initial hand equals nine, ten or 11.
Insurance
You can choose to buy insurance if the dealer's first card is an Ace.
Insurance costs one half of your original wager and pays 2:1 if the dealer does have blackjack.
Your original wager is lost if the dealer does have blackjack.
In the event of the dealer not having blackjack, your insurance bet will be lost and the game will continue as normal.
Repeat and Deal
You can repeat your bet from the last game by pressing 'Repeat and Deal'.
Let ‘em Ride
'Let 'em Ride' will place a bet with the winnings achieved from the previous game.
You will not be able to select 'Let 'em Ride' if your last hand had insurance.

Single Deck Blackjack offers different payouts depending on the hand:

Return To Player (RTP): 99.91%
The expected return is the amount we pay out to players relative to the amount of wagering on the game.
For example, if we take £100 of wagers we will, on average, pay out £99.91 of wins.
